Definice šedé literatury

1. Grey Literature "Information produced on all levels of government, academics, business and industry in electronic and print formats not controlled by commercial publishing i.e. where publishing is not the primary activity of the producing body."

2. Informační zdroje vydávané prostřednictvím neoficiálních a neformálních publikačních cest. Je nekonvenční nebo polopublikovaná – tj. šedá.

9. Šedá literatura je pojem pro dokumenty, které nejsou formálně publikovány, jako např. institucionální či technické zprávy, pracovní materiály, obchodní dokumenty, sborníky z konferencí či další dokumenty, které neprocházejí standardním vydavatelským procesem. Mohou být dostupné širokému okruhu osob, přesto bývá obtížné je vyhledat.
